COLD CURE BACKING

K-024

Copps K-024 Cold Cure backing is a 100% solids, solvent free, 2-part epoxy system designed to be poured when air temperatures are between 25 ° F and 60 ° F. Optimum pouring temperature range is 45-55 ° F, which allows for typical worklife and installation. K-024 MUST BE STORED AT, OR WARMED TO, 45-65 ° F. Do not use K-024 at temperatures ABOVE 65 ° F; the worklife is too short and cracking may result.

REMEMBER

  1. Store at 45-65 ° F
  2. Warm to 45-65° F prior to use.
  3. DO NOT use above 65°F!
  4. Add hardener to resin, mix to uniform color, pour immediately.
  5. USE ENTIRE KIT - DO NOT PORTION!

HANDLING PROCEDURE

Copps Cold Cure backing must be stored between 45 ° F and 65 ° F prior to use. To use, pour the hardener into the resin and mix until a uniform color appears, usually 2-3 minutes. Pour this material immediately after mixing; working time is much shorter than the standard backing.

SAFETY PRECAUTIONS

Avoid breathing of vapors. Forced local exhaust is recommended to effectively minimize exposure. NIOSH approved, organic vapor respirators and forced exhaust are recommended in confined areas, or when conditions (such as heated polymers, sanding) may cause high vapor concentrations. Do not weld on or burn the backing. Hazardous vapor is released when the backing is burned.

Avoid skin or eye contact with hardener. Wash skin with soap and water if contact occurs. If eye contact occurs flush with water for 15 minutes and obtain medical attention.

Read and understand all cautions on can labels and material safety data sheets before using this material.
